 Worthless and Useless Dirt Devil Broom |

I bought this Dirt Devil Broom because I saw the commercial and I thought it would make sweeping easier not having to mess with a dust pan. In short, after using this Dirt Devil Broom a few times, I went back to my simple bristle broom and dust pan because they are easier to use, lighter weight, and more maneuverable.
According to the directions, you don't turn the vacuum on until you have swept up a pile, then you turn the vacuum on and it is supposed to suck up the pile (which it does poorly, you waste a lot of time trying to get it to suck the pile up, looking for why it isn't sucking the pile up....).
The Dirt Devil Broom is clumsy and heavy (because you're lifting it like a broom, not like a stick vac where the weight rests on the floor and you push it). I doesn't perform like on the commercials, it takes a lot of effort to get the broom to suck up the bits you've swept. You have to get it at just the correct angle so the vacuum has enough suction. This vacuum is so cumbersome, I went back to my bristle broom and dust pan which are much easier in all respects.
I just wish I had my money back, it has been sitting in the closet for 4 years (time to get rid of it). |

| This is just what I had hoped for! Works great with little ease on my part. Having 2 dogs who shed makes it difficult for me to keep up the floors and now, its a piece of cake!It also holds the charge much better then I thought. |

| You can't "sweep" with this broom. It would take you forever to push/pull it over the floor and hopefully pick up something. I used it once and gave it to freecycle. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! |

| I bought this product based on amazon user reviews. Boy was I led astray. This product is worthless. One review said great for dust bunnies & toddler crackercrumbs. Let me assure you, this lethargic excuse for a broom vac will not do the job. Run time is short, power is positively anemic. Do not waste your money,electricity or time on this!! |

| For my purposes, this has been great. I've had it for a year and a half. I have wood floors, so I am mostly swiffer to get all dust and hair. For the sand/grit/crumbs that swiffering leaves behind, this is great. I use this maybe three times a week for just several minutes a time to vacuum up the little pile. The suction seems fine to me. I have had no problems with charging or having it hold a charge. I've charged it maybe three times since I've had it. The filter (like all dirt devils seem to) does seem to clog up quickly. I am going to buy replacement filters. I am taking one star off b/c it is heavier than I had expected. I think it is at least 3-4 pounds - much to heavy to try to sweep a large space. I had bought this at Target on sale for about 30 bucks, and it has been totally worth it, especially for my bad back. |
