Since these have been well reviewed in terms of characteristics/features, etc., I'll just say that I've had mine for almost two years and it's one of the handiest appliances I own (and I DO own MANY!) My youngest daughter used mine here one time and raved about how easy and convenient it is to use, that I just had to get one for her. She has two toddlers, so it's HER handiest appliance too! Yes, it's a bit loud, but so what? It does a great pickup job on tile, hardwood, and even low pile carpets, so what's not to love? You won't be sorry if you get one, I promise.

I bought this vaccuum for our bare floors since we have two large forever-shedding dogs whose hair clumps show up on a daily basis. Not only does it pick up the hair nicely AND has a decent sized bin, it also seems to pick up quite a bit of the dust and dirt too! Meaning it leaves the floor truly "clean." The only downside (which really isn't if you know how to push it correctly and effectively), is that the power of the fan in the sucking mechanism tends to blow hair and debris away and outward if you don't push it using shorter strokes across the floor. Other than that, the vacuum performs surprisingly well. All in all, a powerful little machine with a decent cord length.

This vacuum has more torque than my full size upright. It will almost jump out of your hand when you turn it on. It leaves nothing on the floor behind it but you better wear hearing protection when you run it.

I have been a fan of all the Dirt Devil products for sometime so, when I was looking for a small but powerful vacuum for my floors I turned again to Dirt Devil.
I thought I was ordering the 12 AMP vacuum but got the 10 AMP instead. But, don't be fooled by the AMP size this little vacuum works great. I don't recommend it for thick carpets but throw rugs are no problem. It's loud but okay. I like the product so the loudness is tolerable. The fact that it's bagless and a good feature too. You have to clean it out frequently but remember it's a small vacuum. Hardwood and tile floors are a breeze with this vacuum. I have permanently retired my broom for this task.

The suction is very powerful. I was able to get everything up with 2-3 passes. It is great on pet hair and because its brush is not a standard roller brush, I have not had to pull my hair out of it to make it keep working. The handle is probably too short for a lot of people, but I am 4'10" and this is the first time I haven't accidentally hit myself in the chest with the handle, which makes it perfect for me. It is Very Loud. Probably the loudest vacuum I have ever owned. I know that some people have complained about the side vents and having to "chase" dirt, but that isn't an issue I have had. Maybe it just has to do with how you vacuum.
