This is a great little vacuum with a rotating head and removable hand vac. It is light, picks up almost everything and needs just ordinary maintenance.
Yes, the battery life is somewhat short as our previous one lasted just over a year. So weigh that into your consideration.
The price is on the edge of expensive but, truthfully, it is simple and works well. Recommended.

I have three year old triplets so this cleaner is a life saver for mealtime. It even vacuums up the moist stuff like rice, and it is easy to clean out. I highly recommend this vacuum for clean up in the kitchen. It does not do well on carpet, but it does do well on rugs with rubber backing. It also does not pick up large pieces unless you detach the hand held part which is extremely easy.
The Electrolux ErgoRapido is a great machine

The ErgoRapido puts the Shark to shame. It cleans quickly and works well even on the floor rug in our sunroom. I am delighted with my buy. I intend to junk my Shark. There is a small disappointment tho', I saw it today for $20.00 less at our local Costco. So, Amazon may not be the best place to buy this. Besides, it took almost 4 weeks to come.
The Coolest Vacuum Ever!

If in fact a vacuum can get "cool points" this one is it. The color, shape, and size are very appealing. It is small and light weight and comes with an easy to assemble wall mounting kit (which I would recommend as it falls down a lot if you try to just stand it up--that is my only con so far) as well as extra accessories such as a crevice tool and brush. Easy is another word that I would use to describe this vacuum. Right out of the box this cordless vacuum is ready to roll. It was so easy to put together that I didn't once consult the directions (In fact, they were stuck to the side of the box and I thought they were missing at first and I was able to put the unit together within five minutes. It is pretty powerful as well. I accidentally sucked up a battery! The other great thing is that it is highly maneuverable. It turns corners easily (sort of like a poor man's Dyson) and the movement is smooth. It has two speeds and works eaqually well on floors and rugs.
The cleanup is easy as well. There is a small compartment for the bagless reservoir and it opens with a click and empties without one having to touch the stuff you've just vacuumed up.
I can't say enough good things about this vacuum. I've owned many and this is my new fave (as far as compacts go). It's not exactly cheap, bur well worth every penny. This would be great for college students, peoeple in small apartments or for that quick clean up job when you don't want to drag out the big daddy vacuum.
The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I just bought it. I'll give a follow up in a while and perhaps add that fifth star. But so far, so great!

This vacuum does EXACTLY what I wanted. I have two large and one small shedding dogs. I have hard floors and was constantly sweeping up dog hair. I have spent hundreds of dollars on vacuums (including almost $500 for a Dyson Pet Vac) and none have been as good as this one. It is so easy to just grab it from its charging stand and run it around the house to pick up hair as often as I like. It's easy to "steer" and the head is small enough to even get behind the toilets. Being able to easily pull off the handheld is just one more thing I love. As others have noted though, there is a draw back in that it doesn't stand without the charging station. But I can certainly adjust to that. If it does stop holding a charge, I will just buy another.
