| When I had carpet, I used this with good success. It's easy to use and easy to empty. I have since gotten wood floors put in my home. Since then, I use my Hoover S2220 Flair Upright Stick Vacuum more regularly (once a week) for light cleaning and the Windtunnel about once a month on the area rugs. I also love using the attachments on my window treatments and to get crumbs off the couch. |

| I got this vacuum as a gift from my mother becuase our old one was dead. I only use it on 1 rug and in 1 room as the rest fo the house is tiled or has wood floors. I wish I could use it on hard floors, but all the dirt shoots out the back and I have to sweep anyway. I have 3 dogs that shed alot and ususally sweep all the time. I have maybe used this vacuum 3 times since getting it and everytime I have to take it apart (unscrew the hoses, etc) to unclog it. Even after removing clogs, the suction is awful. If you have pets, I would NOT reccomend this vacuum. Mine came with a pet hair remover brush that is supposed to spin, but the suction is so bad it wont even turn with a little push. Hope I can return it... |

| I love the cleaning power of this vacuum. We have a large dog. After I vacuumed with my old vacuum I tried the Windtunnel and the canister filled up right away. The bagless canister is very easy to empty. Although I don't have to pay for bags, the filter cartridge got clogged after several weeks and I had to replace it. I hope that by keeping up with the vacuuming on a regular basis the filter will now last longer. |

After an exhaustive review of reviews, decided on this vacuum. It has met and exceeded in some ways the evaluations of others. It does an excellent job of what it is supposed to do - vacuum the floors. Both the carpet and bare floors are cleaner. The bagless feature is very nice in that it has a bottom opening and the crank on top of the canister really gets the fine dirt out (it is scary how much this thing picks up). I would recommend this product without hesitation. I do have two comments on things I would change.
1. The power of the drive wheels is very fast. I feel like I am holding it back rather than just an assist with going forward.
2. I would like the hose to be a bit longer. There are extension wands that get you where you need to go, but the flexibility of having a longer hose would be nice.
Neither of these is a deal breaker at all, just observations. My wife and I have both used this product and both agree with the above and are very pleased. |
Cleans well, but a pain to empty

I bought this vacuum nearly a year ago. First and foremost, kudos to Amazon for getting it to my door less than 24 hours after I hit the "Place your order" button.
For a while I was really happy with this vacuum, because it really does do a great job on my carpets and the hose is plenty powerful for an upright. However, after using it for a while it got messier and messier to empty. I now have to take the detachable dust bin outside to empty it into a trash bag so that I don't have dust clouds in my house. Also, it quickly loses suction power when fine dust particles start to clog the filter inside, so I have to empty more often just to keep the filter clean.
Originally I bought this thing so that I wouldn't have to hunt for sweeper bags anymore. Now I wish I would have just bought a standard vacuum with a lifetime supply of bags. |
