does the job - with some modification

This fit the V7571 I ordered it for but, it needed some modification. There were two hard plastic tabs on the inside of the cylinder where it snaps onto the vacuum. I had to cut these out in order to fit on my model.
Other than this, it works great.
Just two things to say:

1. Take the filter out, go outside to your garbage can, and bang the filter hard against the inside of the can 3-4 times. Rotate filter 15 degrees, bang 3-4 times. Keep going until nothing comes out (may take 5 minutes or more!)

2. Buy a new one every 1-2 years anyway.

Bottom line: The Panasonic vacs are fantastic, but you have to maintain your filters. Buy the HEPA filter ever 1-2 years too-check your manual.

-Sign me "Just replaced both filters and the vacuum works like new again."
